CLUB PERSON OF THE YEAR

Award Criteria

The Colin Hodge Club Person of the Year Award recognises the player, official, supporter or parent who has made the most significant contribution to the ongoing health, welfare, culture and development of St Patrick's Baseball Club and its members throughout the season.

Named in honour of former Club President Colin Hodge, the award acknowledges individuals whose dedication, leadership and service reflect the values and spirit that underpin St Pat’s both on and off the field.

This award celebrates an individual who consistently demonstrates outstanding commitment, selfless service and genuine dedication to the club, while exemplifying the behaviours and standards outlined within the Club’s Code of Conduct. The recipient is someone who positively influences the St Pat’s community, contributes meaningfully to the club’s success and culture, and helps strengthen the sense of community and pride within St Patrick’s Baseball Club.

Selection process

  • All nominations for the Colin Hodge Club Person of the Year Award must be submitted to the Club Secretary no later than one (1) day prior to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of St Patrick's Baseball Club.

  • Following the close of nominations, all submissions will be reviewed by the Club President and the Club Patrons to ensure they satisfy the criteria and intent of the award.

  • The recipient of the Colin Hodge Club Person of the Year Award will then be determined by a secret ballot conducted among eligible members present at the Annual General Meeting.

  • In keeping with the prestige of the award, the outcome of the ballot will remain confidential and will not be announced at the Annual General Meeting.

Nominations

  • Nominations for the Colin Hodge Club Person of the Year Award are encouraged from all coaches and team managers across St Patrick's Baseball Club.

  • In addition, nominations may also be submitted by any member of the club community, including players, parents, supporters and members of the Executive Committee.

  • The recipient of the Colin Hodge Club Person of the Year Award will be formally announced and presented with the award at the club’s annual Presentation Day.
