During the 2025/2026 season, the Executive Committee determined that the “Ivan Connors Black and Green Award” would be split across the club’s winter and summer competitions. The Ivan Connors Black and Green Award will remain the premier award for the senior winter competition, while the newly introduced Ivan Connors Green and Black Award recognises the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the senior summer competition at St Patrick's Baseball Club.

Introduced in its inaugural 2025/2026 season, the Ivan Connors Green and Black Award was created to acknowledge the outstanding player across all teams competing in the club’s senior summer baseball competition. The recipient of the award remains secret until announced at the club’s annual senior baseball presentation night.

Points are awarded throughout each regular season game and are progressively tallied to determine the overall winner. The award is regarded as one of the club’s most prestigious individual honours and reflects excellence, consistency, leadership and commitment across the summer season.

The naming of the award continues the recognition of Ivan Connors’ significant contribution, dedication and lasting legacy within St Patrick’s Baseball Club.
