Award Criteria

• The Junior Baseball Player of the Year Award recognises an outstanding junior player who has demonstrated excellence both on and off the field throughout the season at St Patrick's Baseball Club.

  In considering nominations for this award, the following criteria will apply:

  1. The nominee must be a current registered player of St Pat’s Baseball Club with a minimum of three (3) years playing experience at the club.

  2. The recipient will typically, although not exclusively, come from one of the club’s most senior junior teams.

  3. The nominee must have consistently displayed a high standard of baseball ability, skill development, sportsmanship and game awareness throughout the season.

  4. Consideration may also be given to players who have contributed to the broader club environment through involvement in activities such as coaching, umpiring, mentoring junior players or assisting in other club initiatives.

  5. The recipient should demonstrate qualities that reflect positively on the club, including leadership, commitment, teamwork and respect for teammates, officials and opponents.
